Meet The Pool Knight Team
Dr. Ramy R. Gali, M.D., M.B.A.
Dr. Gali is an innovator and life long entrepreneur. He met his best friend and Pool Knight co-founder Dr. Phillip Matar while they were pre-medical students at the University of Miami.
After graduating medical school Dr. Gali went on to develop the prestigious GaliDerm Anti-Aging Skincare line and later started an advanced medical aesthetics practice with his wife Mrs. Cigdem Gali, PA-C. His dedication to being the best possible medical entrepreneur led him to obtain a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management.
He enjoys working in medical innovation and was busy with multiple projects when he dropped everything to focus all his efforts and energy on Pool Knight.
Dr. Gali is a father to 3 beautiful young daughters, with his oldest "Jennifer" from our Pool Knight video. Concerned over the safety of his young girls, flash-backs of a drowning victim from his medical training, and the near death of his cousin who almost drowned in his parents pool, he was propelled to turn the Pool Knight vision that he and Dr. Matar created into a reality to save lives.
Dr. Phillip E. Matar, M.D., M.B.A.
Dr. Matar completed his pediatric residency at the University of South Florida, while concurrently obtaining his Master of Business Administration.
Following residency, Dr. Matar practiced at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Emergency Center, where he headed the Urgent Care and sat as Chairman of the Urgent Care Committee. He also advised the Triage Committee and Development/Education Committee.
During his time at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, Dr. Matar treated over 18,000 ER and Urgent Care patients, and performed over 3,000 procedures! Dr. Matar subsequently transitioned into General Pediatrics, serving the local pediatric population and then founded KinderDoc a pediatric telemedicine group.
Dr. Matar has served as Attending Physician for both Johns Hopkins and University of South Florida Pediatric Residents, as well as Clinical Preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students from USF and South University.
Dr. Matar has given numerous lectures and has several publications to his name covering the fields of General Pediatrics, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Pediatric Sports Medicine, Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Dermatology.
Dr. Matar serves as a Medical Consultant for the Florida Department of Health, and sits on the Medical Advisory Board for PhykenTech Inc, an Orlando based tech firm integrating virtual reality into healthcare.
